Swartz Funeral Home - Flint Obituary


SULLIVAN, Gary Jack – Of Flushing, age 65, died Friday, February 16, 2018 at McLaren-Flint. 


Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Steve Wood officiating. 


Cremation will take place following the service. 


Those desiring may make contributions to the Humane Society of Genesee County. 


Visitation 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home. 


Gary was born in Saginaw, Michigan on February 23, 1952, the son of John and Genevieve (Seymour) Sullivan. 


Gary had a love for the band, Grand Funk Railroad, model building and was also a baseball and hockey fan, especially the Red Wings.


 Surviving are daughter, Ashley Sullivan; 


dear friend, Norma Roberts and many beloved friends. 


He was preceded in death by his parents.

Gary, was a long time customer at our AT&T store. Gary would always come in smiling, and talk to me about our the military. I really enjoyed speaking with and sharing experiences with him. Gary will be deeply missed, he was a great man and friend.

I knew Gary from working at McLaren-Flint He always said hi when he saw me; sometimes he would joke around..I saw him about 6 weeks ago at Leo's and he sat with me and my daughter for about 45 mins. He told me that he ate there every day. I was very saddened to hear about his passing and will miss him a lot. RIP Gary

Gary was a wonderful neighbor. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and was always so friendly and happy. I am sorry to hear of his passing and he will be missed around the neighborhood. My condolences to his daughter, family and friends.

Gary and I were very good friends sometimes we would get together for lunch talk about old times at Mclaren when we worked together I know what a big red Wings fan he and I was and also Tigers fan I will miss your great sense of humor and that classic laugh that Gary had Gary was a great friend to me and I will miss him terribly I was so shocked and saddened when I first heard of his passing my life will never be the same because I've lost an amazing friend may you R.I.P.My Dear friend I will...

Gary will be deeply missed as a neighbor and a friend! Prayers to the family. We are here for you if you need anything!

Gary was a friendly neighbor who always wanted to know how we were doing. His dog Cakes was a happy dog and a great companion for him. He had something to talk about all the time and sometimes was hard to end a conversation with. I would have liked to be able to get to know him better. My condolences to his family.

Gary was a nice funny man he always seemed to care about others he will be missed RIP
