Not sure what to say?

We miss this sweet guy. He was almost a fixture here at the store and we still think of him and the stories he'd tell. He was an honest and good man and I know that he left many people to mourn his passing.

Gary spoke at my mothers graveside. I will never forget the wonderful story he told of people on this side waving and crying because she was leaving while people on the other side were jumping up and down with excitement yelling "here she comes" I loved Gary's calm demeanor and sweet spirit. My husband Dru felt that Gary was one of his most valued friends. We miss him.

Irene and family, I'm sorry we missed Gary's funeral. He was a great man and had a great influence on my life. I'm forever grateful for his coaching and his mentoring. He will be missed.

Irene, I am very sorry to learn of Gary's passing. Memories come flooding back. Craig Park (who passed away some years ago) and I were "Bennion boys", and Swets (our affectionate nickname for Gary), was a Taylorsville boy. Hence we were adversaries in ward sports but fast friends otherwise as you remember. I could fill pages with our antics. We commuted to the U together and enjoyed more than one game of pool and bowling in the Union Building. He was always full of energy, enthusiasm,...

The family of Joe and Vilate Parrish send our sympathy, and want you to know our family has been friends with Gary since his childhood. We have worked and played with him and have always enjoyed his company. May God send you comfort at this time.

I had the privilege to have this wonderful man as my Mission President for the first 3 months of my mission. I have spent the evening reflecting on how he and his wife had a profound impact on my life in such a short period of time. He played an integral part in helping me fulfill my missionary service. I was terribly ill and very homesick when I first went out into the mission field. I spent those first three months questioning whether I really had what it takes to serve with my whole...

Although Gary was never my actual volleyball coach I learned so much from him. I enjoyed watching Gary coach my brother in law Rob Hall in many many games. I myself coached club and high school volleyball for over 20 years in Arizona and based a lot of my coaching styles from Gary. He is truly one of a kind and will definitely be missed. A quick story, I grew up with Jason and I still remember all the times we would play basketball together. One day Jason took me into his dads office to...

Chris,Maxine, family and all Swensen family members, So sorry to hear of the passing of your sweet dad and grandfather. We had the privilege of meeting him several times while living next to Chris and Maxine. He was such a charmer and had a very charismatic personality. It was obvious his family was so dear to him. He has left you all with a beautiful family legacy. We are so sorry we will not be able to attend the funeral due to our own circumstances, but please know you are in our thoughts...

We love Gary, he spoke at my mothers graveside and told a story that I'd never heard before and one I'll always remember. He was always kind and he had a calm soul. We will most certainly miss him.
