Gary A. Thompson

 Chicopee- Gary A. “Rocky” Thompson, 72, passed away at home on December 2, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  One of eight children of the late Evelyn (Koinm) and John G. Thompson, Gary was born on August 14, 1952.  He was a graduate of Chicopee High School, worked as a machine operator at ChemiGraphics & Industrial Etching, and also as an autobody tech for Balise Auto Repair.  Gary was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Elder Council 69 in Chicopee and the Strokers Hot Rod Club.  Gary is survived by his partner of 44 years, Corinne V. Dubois, a son, Sean P. Thompson (Dodi), of Fl, as well as his sisters, Janice Renaud (Chris), Sue Gelinas (Bill), and Gail Meunier, his brothers, Keith Thompson, Craig Thompson (Connie), and Richard “Dicky” Thompson, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.  In addition to his parents, Gary was also predeceased by his brother, John “Jack” Thompson (2018).  Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 11:00am on Friday, December 13, at Calvary Cemetery, in Chicopee.
