Gary was a very good man and friend, always ready to clean your clock at cribbage and other games, and great with the grill. We spent many a day together, and night, as next door neighbors at Campo Lopez South of the Border. A great amazing man, and his students loved him. I'm very sorry he didn't get to enjoy several more years of his retirement. He was loved and respected by all, and now he is missed very much too. My memories go back to our days as lifeguards at Pickwick Swim Park in Burbank. His obit is a real tribute to a good friend while growing up and a man who gave a lot to his community and to those lucky students who knew him.
