Not sure what to say?

A very important person in my musical development...a loving and caring human being and his family always made me feel at home whenever I visited the Great Escape...

Just an incredibly sad time for me and many other folks who knew Gary and the Walker family. Gary was certainly the most motivated individual I ever met, and a great mentor to those around him. He liked to get things done and was never afraid to try new approaches to accomplish his goals, and was generous and forgiving. I'm very thankful he was part of my life. Gary will be sadly missed, and Peggy, Greg, and Karen please know that you will be in my wife's and my prayers.

Thank you for broadening my musical education...your family treated me with love and respect...peace and blessings to the family...

Gary was a big help to me during my Freshman year at Vandy, 1983. He gave me a job at the Great Escape store on Broadway, where my sister had worked before. And this store gave me a much needed haven at the time. He gave me some treasured songwriting advice, which open the door to more discipline and critical thought on the craft. Big love to the family! Please know that you are in my thoughts and my prayers during this difficult time of loss. What a wonderful man Gary was!

So sorry to hear about Gary's passing, it is a great loss for many people. Peggy, Karen and Greg you are all in our prayers and we added your family to the prayer list at church. Ray and Virginia Sawyer

We are so sorry for the loss of this fine man. We knew Mr.and Mrs.Walker as faithful supporters of the Vanderbilt women's basketball team and saw them continue to attend games even after it became challenging for him. (We sat on the row in front of them.) May God bless you and comfort you.
