Not sure what to say?

My husband. Gary. I miss you more now than ever.

I worked for this humble hero a short time, but he sure touched my heart, encouraged me to be my best. Miss him, still.

CDR Gary Wells, C.O., VP-47 1977-1978

God bless Gary on his final departure. He was my C.O. in VP-47 and it was a privilege to work for him.

Many fond memories from days together at Moffett Field. Gary always was a gentleman and a true friend to all.

In deepest sympathy, A true warrior to the end

Flew with Gary in VP-4. He was a great Tactical Coordinator and a great naval officer. Really enjoyed knowing him. Hope that his children are well. Pag

Sorry for your loss but celebrating his home going to His Lord. Gary was my Navigation Instructor in Corpus Chirsti TX in 1965. Then we joined together again in VP-4 in Hawaii. Great guy and superb Naval Officer.
From all the gang in VP-4 back in the good ole days, we salute you Gary, remember you fondly, and send our deepest sympathies to the family. May God bless us all.

Ken Johnson VP-4 1965-1968

I flew with Gary Wells in Patrol Squadron Four in Hawaii. As junior Naval officers, we were very close friends. Together we led a flight crew of 13 men to become a close knit band of brothers and true professionals in our craft. We loved every minute of our lives and experiences, we loved our country, and we all loved him and Brenda. We need more men like him.

Dearest Well's family: I was Gary's C.O. in VP-4 in 1966-67 and remember Gary and his family well and fondly. I am so sorry to learn that Lung cancer finally got him. We(wife. Fay& i) have been longtime supporters of the Assoc. He will be lovingly remembered in Patrol Squadron Four as an officer of great integrity and honor. I left the squadron in Nov 67 but continued to keep in touch with many of my officers; I followed Gary's career and am proud to have called him shipmate. With love Fay &...
