Kathy & Maggie, It has been almost a year since Gary was suddenly taken from us and sometimes it feels like yesterday. I want you both to know how sorry I am for your loss. I know that this has been the toughest year of your lives and if Donna or I can do anything for you please let us know. We love you both and want to support you as you continue to grieve.

Vicki and I were fortunate to discover a young, talented and energetic contractor named Gary Wheatley in 1989 when we wanted to do an addition to our home in Roland Park. The job was perfect, professional and painless. We unexpectedly moved to Cleveland the next year and for subsequent projects have always used his work as the gold-standard. Unfortunately for us, no one has ever come close to his quality and attention to detail.

It is with much sadness and heart-felt loss that I send my condolences over the transition of such a great guy. While it has been years since I've seen you both, the interim time has done nothing to diminish my fond memories of the good times we had together in our youth. My prayers are with you...and with Gary.

We were so shocked to hear of Gary's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, your daughter and your family.

We were so moved by how wonderful you all were to our family and just want you to know - we are always here for you and yours.

I was stunned to learn of Gary's sudden passing. My prayers are with you at this time of heartache. I met with Gary twice in the past two months. He had just visited my home on May 9 to present me with a proposal to remodel my family room. I was impressed with his professionalism, friendliness, and genuine interest in understanding my needs and budget. We spoke of our families and he was obviously very proud of his wife and daughter.
