GASTON ALPHONSE ANDREY

It was always a pleasure to stroll by Mr. Andrey's Brookline SAAB business when I was growing up in that town. My parents were big fans of Swedish cars, and somehow they knew Mr. Andrey personally and had many lovely things to say about him before gentrification claimed his spot and his SAAB garage. He was a sweet legend and a fine neighbor. I will miss seeing his SAAB place, that entire block across from the library now torn down.

I read he was born in Switzerland. If possible I would like to know where

Ferrari dealers like Gaston were the real deal. We shared the belief that those cars were meant to be driven, not stored as trophies. He will be missed.
