Not sure what to say?

I worked with Gavin at Cat, Houston. I loved talking home brewing with him as I am a home brewer too. I learned a lot from him and will miss his brew pub dreams.

I have fond memories of Gavin with his big happy, fun-loving smile and his hard working, no nonsense attitude of accomplishing tasks. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. God's Blessings to his family, friends, and classmates. So long brother Q

From the day we met in science class in Junior High until we graduated High School together, Gavin and I were close friends. I will always remember the adventures we had in school, on the football field and driving around Columbus in the old family VW van. We had a chance to renew that friendship at the last class reunion, and like others have said, it was like we had never been separated by time and the journey of life. I will truly miss my old friend.

Dear Marisue and family,
We were deeply saddened to hear of Gavin's passing. The time we shared at our last high school reunion will truly be cherished. Even though it had been years since we saw each other we resumed things like we had seen each other yesterday. I really hoped he would be moving back to the Columbus area along with many old friends. All here are sorry for your loss and have many memories of our times with him.

Dear Marisue and family,
I grieve with you and will keep you in my prayers as I joyfully thank God for the great blessing that Gavin was for all who knew him. I never knew a more humble spirit or a more compassionate soul. I am so thankful for the time we had at our 35th Citadel reunion, and for the reaffirmation it gave of how very special a man Gavin was and always will be. May God bless and keep you until that day when we're all reunited with Gavin again.

Gavin was a fine and hard-working member of the hardest-working company on The Citadel campus, The Regimental Band and Pipes. God rest his soul. Peace and comfort to his family, I pray.

This is a tough loss to accept. Gavin touched the hearts and lives of many of us. I will never forget him playing banjo on stage freshman year. He was an awesome friend! Thank you for the wonderful memories. I am sorry for your loss.

I will never forget Gavin, like many mentioned already he was like a brother to me - we were both biology majors so we took many of the same courses, I got him to try playing lacrosse our sophomore year, we were drummers in the pipe band and would argue every Friday about which one of us would get stuck with the bass drum. Mostly I will remember him as a gentle giant - he really cared about his friends and took care of them. And I can't help but mention that I'll never forget him wrestling...

This is such sad news. I knew Gavin at The Citadel. Although I was in F-Troop, I always enjoyed our interchanges. Whether the exchanges were scholastic, political or simply matters of life, Gavin put them in a humorous spin. He will most certainly be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and our classmates.
