I never was able to meet Gay, even though we are cousins, since we
lived acrosss the country from each other. I am praying for her family in this time of their loss. Debbie (Smith) Grimshaw

I was saddened to read of the passing of Gay. I was so fortunate to start my teaching career at Prospect Hall with Gay as my mentor! 43 vyears later I am still teaching. She was so smart and so patient!! I hope you find comfort in knowing that she touched the lives of so many people in such a positive way!!

On behalf of the Literacy Council of Frederick County, my condolences to Gay's family and close friends. I knew Gay throughout her years as a volunteer at the Literacy Council. She was a wonderful person to know and she made many significant contributions of her time and talents to the Council and her many students there. It was an honor to have the opportunity to know her.
