Thank you for all of your splendid care, support & I- we wish you well during your forthcoming journey, Always!

Reading "The Swans of Harlem" and just floored by the tenacity of these amazing women. Just read the part about your incredible mother getting cancer. I cried through all of that, especially since I lost my own mother to the same dreadful disease. Your mother is a legend. I wish I could have known her. Who wouldn't want a friend like her? May God bring you strength and comfort. And may the world learn of her legacy.

I was deeply saddened to see Gayle memorialized on CBS Sunday Morning today. We were high school classmates and friends, connecting through our art classes. As well as being a gifted dancer, Gayle was a talented artist. I think (hope) I still have the portrait sketch she did of me while I was busy with my own art project. Even though we went in different directions after high school, I followed her career as she went on to Dance Theater of Harlem. She was a beautiful, kind, talented...

I just heard about Gayle passing! I'm heart broken . I remember Gayle from my earlier years at Dance Theater of Harlem when I was 14 as a Scholarship apprentice! She was so personable and just genuine! I send my deepest of sympathy and condolences to her family and the DTH community!! I just heard the news today and my heart is broken !!

I am saddened to hear about the passing of Gayle. I also studied at CT College Dance Festival and knew Gayle very well. My deepest sympathy to the family. She loved to dance and she is now dancing in heaven.

It was one of the saddest days of my life, to hear of the passing of my best friend, Gayle McKinney. I have been so blessed to have her as my friend for a lifetime. I am very comforted by having many awesome memories of Gayle. Peace, and Love to the McKinney family

I am so sorry to hear of Gayle's passing. I went to school with her from Quaker Hill School through Waterford High. She was truly one of the nicest people I have ever known. I am not surprised to hear she had such a successful life, but I am saddened to hear it wasn't longer. To this day, I can't pass by her parent's home without thinking about her.

Lived in Quaker Hill and remember Gayle and her family when we were children. My condolences to her children and family

I didn´t know but certainly do remember her. She was certainly someone to be proud of. What a Beautiful Life she had. My Condolences to All her family.
