Not sure what to say?

Gayle was my best friend and I will miss her always. Morty and I knew Gayle since she and I were 18 and were students at the University of Tulsa.

We have started a Gayle Patterson Scholarship Fund in Gayle's memory there. If you are interested in contributing you can contact Amy England at [email protected].

Peace and love always Gayle.

Gayle was just about the funniest person I ever knew. Just something about the way she would tell a story and use language. Gayle and I met when we were both attorneys at NW Natural. I was so specialized that my legal advice was useless to 99% of the company, but Gayle knew about everything, so that is where the employees went for help when they needed legal counsel. We used to speculate that we found the same things funny because we both grew up on the great plains, and that had to have...

Gayle was a remarkable person with a commanding use of language. She used this to be an effective lawyer. She used it to make groups laugh to help us get through the challenging parts of life. She also used it to help those who are less fortunate. Even after she was ill, she served on the board of directors for the two statewide legal aid programs that provide free civil legal services to low-income families struggling with domestic violence, the affordable housing crisis, medical care,...

Gayle was funny. She could keep her audience of listeners in stitches. Those are the times I will remember about Gayle.

I worked for Gayle for many years at NW Natural and we were a good team. Often we would take a break and she would say "close the door" and then we would have some great discussions often about politics and then we would laugh a lot as we tried to solve the world problems. After she and I retired we would occasionally meet for lunch and catch up.
She left us too soon. Rest in peace my friend.

I worked with Gayle at NW Natural and she was a wonderful attorney. She was also a great co-worker friend and we enjoyed Indian food together often. She was very patient explaining corporate law and issues to me when I was a young manager. Her family was blessed to have her. I remember how proud she was of her kids and especially her talking about her son the dancer. Take care knowing that so many admired and respected Gayle.
