Gayle Tejada

When I think of strong women in a man's working world, and someone who left a very lasting impression on me, I think of Gayle. I was Gayle's assistant at Merrill Lynch in La Jolla for years. She is best described as fire in high heels. She meant business, with no letting up. I could write a book about our interactions! She was tough on me, but I learned a lot from her. I met Gayle at a fundraiser on the Bajamar golf course. She was very patient with a novice golfer who had to round down to the nearest ten. Laudably, she did not offer golfing advice, she took the tedium of the play in stride, she smiled and joked. We laughed about growing up at the end of the alphabet since we shared the initials G.T. Thank you for all you did for San Diego

Gayle was one amazing woman with a positive outlook, fun sense of humor, always hard working and a true friend. We met through our love of dogs...she will truly be missed very much. She loved her family and all that surrounded her. She is resting in peace

My heart goes out to her family and friends. I got to know Gayle when she was very young then again when she was working with my sister,Jinx Ecke. I enjoyed her family the times I was a guest at her house while friends with her
Ssister Raquel. Fun times for all. Gayle always was joyous and if you wanted something done and done right she was the one to accomplish thats for sure.

I was so sad to hear of Gayle's passing.I met Gayle back in the mid 80's at the San Diego Tennis and Racquet club. We played in a working women's tennis league. Gayle was always smiling and full of life. She always made the game fun no matter how poor we played. My team mate and I enjoyed dinner at her home and many margaritas together after our games. I moved away and lost track of her but kept many happy memories. RIP dear Gayle.

I remember Gayle from years ago living in the same La Jolla neighborhood growing up. It appears she lived a very successful life and she is to be commended for her work to keep La Jolla a beautiful place. It was a wonderful place to grow up. Condolences to her family. Know they will miss her.

I met Gayle at the SD Tennis and Racquet Club. I was happy to have had the opportunity to share many memorable experiences with her. We played tennis and golf together, walked along the coast in La Jolla. One of one of my fondest memories of the many enjoyable outings we shared was cruising the Greek Islands -- such and interesting and fun time that was. Will miss her. RIP Gayle.
