Not sure what to say?

As a young attorney out on my own I had the good fortune to choose to rent an office down the hall from Gaylor. From 2011 until I moved to northern Michigan in 2017 he was a great friend and mentor, always willing to share his wisdom and knowledge, always quick with a smile and a joke. He was generous and kind, and I will miss him greatly.

Just learned of this and saddened by his untimely loss. I greatly enjoyed working with Gaylor both in the 46th Brigade and the State Headquarters of the Michigan National Guard. My condolences to his family and friends.

Gaylor was humble, compassionate, generous, and funny...very funny. We had our offices in the same building and I always looked forward to running into him, sharing a joke or a story and checking in to see how he was doing. Whenever my kids were at the office he was quick to give them a dollar for the vending machine.

You have left this world way too soon Gaylor. You will be dearly missed.

All of my best and prayers to Gaylor's family. He was a very good man and...

Gaylor was always very friendly and compassionate to the clients on our unit at Pine Rest when he would come to meet for court orders. He would always stop and talk with staff and ask about families and other things of interest. He had a good heart and will be greatly missed by our staff and clients and I am sure as well by the legal team he worked with.Prayers and thoughts are with family at this time.

I appreciated my interactions with Gaylor at the Courthouse. He was always kind to me and always had a smile on his face. He will be missed.

I was always blessed with Gaylor's genuine smile and quick wit each time our paths would cross! You will be greatly missed!

Gaylor - Your sense of humor and humanitarian spirit will be greatly missed. You kept your ego in check and treated everyone as an equal.

Goodbye old friend. You left us too soon.

Gaylor's untimely passing is a tremendous loss to the Grand Rapids legal community, which he valued so dearly and which valued him even more.
