Dhyan and Janet, Your father was a terrific guy who I have remembered fondly since my childhood in Westwood. Your tribute is lovely. I looked for him on the computer in preparation of sending a card and Mom's obituary. We were so fortunate to have such amazing parents, weren't we? It's wonderful your father continued sharing with others his knowledge and experience in WWII. We need more people like him to shape our society. On behalf of the board of Grassland Heritage Foundation, I want to say how sorry we are to hear about Gaylord. We spent some fun mornings out at the Prairie Center working alongside him and listening to his stories about his secret chemical analyzing days. He moved away so long ago. It is great to read about the really full life he had in Texas.

Janet and all, I caught myself smiling as I read about all the amazing things Gaylord did! What a special dad! You all are truly blessed. May he rest in peace but keep baking those cookies for everyone to enjoy! Love, Barb and Mark
