GEDALE HOROWITZ

Gedalia (Gedale) Horowitz and I met at Ft Dix, NJ when we served in the U.S. Army. We were both invited for a Shabbat lunch at the home of chaplain, Rabbi Max (Mordechai) Dana. As we both came from an Orthodox Jewish background, Rabbi Dana was particularly helpful in guiding us on what the Army allowed us to do, according to our religious needs and what wouldn't be available to us. In the short time i worked with Dale at Citi i learned a lot about family . He would ask me about my kids and told me what ever i needed help with them in anything to let him know. My son Alistair even though he didn't meet Mr. Horowitz he knew my son loved the game of Basketball and a few times sent him tickets to Knick games . He will greatly be miss by all .

I joined the firm in 1981, we were like a family. Dale embodied the ethics and values I was taught at Salomon and his ongoing tenure at the successor firms was a bright light for all of us who remained. He was a generous, bright and giving soul. May his memory be for a blessing

Gedale was kind, With a phenomenal Sense of humour. Gedale was caring, interested in everything, a thoughtful teacher, concerned about the future of the world and full of love.

Gedale was my cousin, the last of our generation. I loved Gedale, and he guided me when my parents passed away. Gedale was special, caring, kind and full of love.

Dale rescued my late father by getting him to Long Island Jewish hospital to see a top neurologist. I will be for ever in his debt.
