Dear Richard, It took me a long time to be able to even comment on the loss of such an amazing person and friend. More than once Gena was my ballast, my teacher and she was always my friend. I was very lucky to have spent time with Gena. Her wisdom grew me, her generosity and perspective changed me, her heart touched me. I am blessed to have know this angel. My heart aches with her loss, she was a special person. Somone mentioned to me that "there must have been quite a welcome comittee at...

I never got to meet Gena in person, but her love and passion for the Pugs she saved was so very obvious through our many email exchanges. FBRN was so lucky when she decided to become a volunteer for us and extend her compassion to needy Frenchies. We were a richer group for her presence, and we are now poorer for her passing.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Gena face to face, but I am forever grateful to her for making it possible for us to love and care for four endearing pugs that may have not survived if not for her selfless work. I will always be touched by her spirit and passion. Rodney, Daisy, Chumley and Tyler have amazing lives thanks to Gena.

It was beautiful to 'touch noses' with you in this life. Though we never met in the flesh, we meet in the Heart of God. I will cherish your memory and precious photos, always, dear Gena. Give Mac, Tasha, and all the dear Puggies, a kiss from me!
Best love, from your friends, Delmar and Alfred..

Dear Richard,
I worked at KP with Gena and loved every conversation we had about our work and life itself. She loved you so much and always referred to you as "my Richard". She loved life and experienced it fully, which is a gift not shared by many. I was proud to know her. Of course she will be missed by her work family. Our Lord has her with Him now in His presence and I will hope you will feel the comfort only He can provide.
