We are so sorry to hear about Gene’s passing! He was a wonderful man, husband, father and grandfather! I know he is loved by so many and will be sorely missed! I love you, Cousin! You are in my thoughts and prayers today and in the days to come!

Im so saddened to know that Mr. Gene has passed and my heart breaks for Mrs. Donna! I hadn’t seen him in several years but I’ll never forget how kind he was to me when I was young and making stupid mistakes. At church I saw the disapproving judgemental looks and even over heard some people gossiping about me. I was an easy target at that time. I made a lot of stupid mistakes. Mr. Gene never treated me that way! He would instead take time to talk to me and gently encourage me to do better...

I remember how dedicated Gene and Donna are to their church and to each other. It has been many years since I have seen Gene at family reunions, so I particularly appreciate the very moving video of his life at the end of his obituary. It shows the joy of relationships in his life and some of the works and the legacy that mark his stay on Earth. Well done, Gene!

I trust memories of the joy that Donna and Gene's family had makes the loss of his presence here easier.
