So very, very sorry to hear of the loss of a dear friend. I met Gene when I joined The Marietta Junior Woman's Club in 1977. We spent many hours together with our volunteer work and attending conventions all over Georgia. She was so kind and encouraging. The last time I saw Gene was just before she moved back to S.C. We met for lunch and said our goodbyes. What a beautiful person. My thoughts are with Sonny, Doris, Dawson and all of her grandchildren.
