Not sure what to say?

Gene, to a time once ago where we enjoyed our bouts against each other. I am so sorry to see you go, brother. You will always be in my memories and my heart.

Dear Gene, Joe and Debbie,
So sorry to hear of your loss. Your parents will be in my prayers.

Gene and I were teammates in the Csiszar fencers club for many years. He was always a tough competitor who never gave up a touch easily, but more important, Gene was a fine sportsman with a true love for fencing: he always had an honest respect for all his opponents regardless of their abilities, and was one of the few fencers who accepted a loss with the same gracious smile with which he took victory (and there were a lot of victories!). I fenced with Gene for several years in Philly. He was a fun competitor and all-around great guy. He had a wonderful attitude toward fencing and was a credit to the sport. He was the type of guy that makes me wish I had known him better than I did.

I'm sure he will be missed by his family. My condolences to them all.

Dear Debbie, Joe, Gene, and Family:

As you know I have known and fenced with Gene sine I was 12 years old. Myself and fellow fencers will deeply miss him. Please extend my condolences and I wish you all well during this difficult time.

Sincerely,

Bob O'Reilly & Family

Dear Fiducia Family,

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I knew Gene for the fifteen years or so. We would chat in my house whenever he came by to keep his watchful eye on Dr B's home. He would share many stories as well as his video collection. He was a warm and wonderful guy.
I extend most heartfelt condolences to you all.
