Not sure what to say?

Gene and I grew up in the same ward, went to scout camp together, and slept in the same pup tent. We were classmates of '63, part of a small school in a small--and in many ways--stratified town that could make life painful for those of us who were poor or consciously outsiders. But Gene was always, in his youth and as a man, one of the nicest human beings I have ever know. I wish we'd kept in touch, that I could have learned from his singular integrity. I regret not being able to attend his...

We send our love and condolences to Charmaine and all of Gene's family. We loved having you both in our lives when you lived in Bloomington Hills. We made sweet memories and loved our friendship. May the Lord bless and comfort all who Gene left behind on this earth and pray that you will know how he loved and cared about you. We still go to the tire store where Gene worked because we always felt well taken care of there. Even though he hasn't worked there for years, we think of him every...

We are so sorry for your loss. Gene was the most honest man , we drove where ever we had to to deal with him and enjoyed him as a neighbor.

Living Spirit Dishgarden

Gene was the most caring and giving person. He was always bringing me nice things when I lived in his ward in Cedar, the Old Farm ward.
He was a great influence on my daughters and we were able to get to know him. We didn't keep in touch with him as much after we moved, but his love and generosity deeply touched our hearts. He will be greatly missed!
He loved his 2 adopted daughters and was always talking about their great accomplishments.

Dearest Charmaine, Noelani, and Kiara...please accept my most sincere condolences on the passing of Gene. I hope you find comfort knowing he is in a better place. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love Dianne Stone
