It is with a heavy heart that we read about the passing of such a wonderful man. Robyn, Charlie and family, we are so sorry to hear of Coach Herman's passing. He was such an amazing role model to our son. We are forever grateful for have known such a precious gentleman. We were very fond of him and have such wonderful memories of our families cheering on the boys in the field. Please give your sweet mom a big hug for us.

We will keep your family in our prayers.

My condolences to the Herman family. Gene's mother was my Great-Aunt and I worked with Gene at Interlake. Gene coached my step-son and taught him the catcher's position. May our Lord, watch over you in this time of sorrow.

Robyn, Charlie, and family......

So sad to hear about the passing of Mr. Baseball. It was a joy to see someone share the same joy of playing and coaching the great game. I never watched him play but I know how competitive he was as a coach and I could imagine he played the same way. Coaching your children (and he grandchildren) is no greater joy and I know he just loved it. Roxanne and I pray that you have some peace knowing that he lived such a full and enjoyable life and that he'll...

Dear Gerry, Robyn, Chip and families,

You have all been in our thoughts and prayers beginning when we first heard the news of Gene's illness. We are so sorry for your loss. It was always a joy for us to see the relationship he had with his grandkids and it put a smile on our face to see Pappy included in his name. We continue to hold all of you up to our Lord in prayer and so look forward to the day when you will all be reunited!

In deepest sympathy and with love, ...

Our sincere condolences to the Herman
family.

I remember Mr. Herman as a caring, family oriented, patient man. Mr. Herman was a GREAT Coach and mentor. Our sincere condolences to the Herman family.

Gene was an amazing person, his passion for sports (baseball) was infectious. I had the honor to play MSLB with Gene in the early 90's, and he blew me away catching, even back then. The memories of that time are passed on still to this day, and many stories continue to be told. Our trips to the World Series were what the sport of baseball is all about. My condolences to the family, and know that Gene is on the starting roster in heaven.
