Rivet Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc. - Merrimack Obituary

Gene Jones, beloved and devoted husband and father passed away on November 19,2022 at the age of 49. His love of his family surpassed even his love of shoes and his everlasting need to make those around him laugh.  He enjoyed spending time with his children, traveling, bringing happiness to those around him.   He loved music and dancing, often pulling people in for unexpected dances.  He was a child at heart and had a way of making everyone around him feel younger.  He enjoyed long walks not on the beach or in nature of any kind and posting inappropriate memes that made his family cringe but everyone else talk for days.

He was born to Amanda Jones of Georgia.   He was married to Rachel Jones (Romanek).  She was the love of his life and his partner in crime.  He is survived by Rachel; 5 children and 2 grandchildren - Jasmine, Shawn (Annalise), Shantel (Jazzlyn), Piper, and Quinn.  Also by his mother Amanda; Father Ian; sister Lisa (Shaniece and Veronica); and brothers Leon (Kai) and Joe and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and out-laws who loved him.

Services will be held at Londonderry Christian Church, 372 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH on December 10th at 11 am. The service will be available for viewing on the Londonderry Christian Church Facebook Live.  Lunch to follow.

He was not perfect, but he was ours and he will be missed greatly by those who considered him a friend and family.  He left his mark on anyone who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Gene’s memory can be made to the American Heart Association.

Not sure what to say?

I can't believe I am just now hearing about this. My memories of you will forever put a smile on my face. Thinking of you my old friend, rest easy.

I am sorry to hear about Gene's passing. He was an incredibly kind and loving person who will be deeply missed by all those who knew him. It is heart-wrenching to think of the pain his wife and five children must be feeling right now, but I hope they can find some solace in the memories they have of Gene's infectious smile and zest for life. May his spirit live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and may his family find comfort in this difficult time.

My heart felt condolences to all Gene’s family and friends. I have never met a man so in love with his family like Gene was in love with his. He constantly talked about his wife and kids and how he was truly blessed to have such a wonderful family. His love didn’t stop there, for he was grateful for all of the people that were a part of his life. The world lost a great man but Heaven has received a remarkable angel that will look down on us and help us through the toughest of days.

My special condolences to my cousin Amanda and her kind husband and father of my cousins. Condolences for Gene Brothers and Sister. My condolences for his wife, children and grandchildren. Condolences for a host of relatives near & far.
I’m grateful for Gene because he shared his moments, things that cared about & his humorous side that was most memorable. I will cherish his picture and memory in my heart
