Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Koehler's passing. She was a lady full of grace and she embraced me as a child into her spiritual community. I remember her singing 'Till There Was You, to Stan during a church talent show. I hope they are singing duets in heaven.

It has deeply saddened me to learn that Gene Koehler died. What a warm and gracious and loving person she was, incomparable and unique in so many ways. And what a loss her passing is to everyone close to her. - For many, many years we have been good and loyal friends ever since our families met in Freiburg in the early 70ies when Stan taught at the local university. It is with great gratitude that I think of the many memories our families share and of the ties of sympathy and friendship that...

I'm so sorry I cannot make it to Amherst for the service but will be thinking of all of you. Your mom was such a warm, friendly, enthusiastic and kind person and I will always remember her fondly. It is hard to imagine our neighborhood without her. Deepest sympathies,
Suzy Stein

My condolences to all the Koehlers and the people who were lucky to know "Mrs. Koehler." She was a very special lady and will be greatly missed. Such very sad news.
My thoughts are with you all.

I am in Europe until June 9 so will miss the services for dear Gene Koehler. Matt sent me the Gazette obit, and it spells out well her extraordinary virtues: Character, intellect, loving and generous nature. She and Stan and family and ours spent time in Freiburg together, and many wonderful times in Amherst. We miss and love them all, especially the incomparable Gene. The memory of her is an inspiration. God bless. Jules Chametzky

Hi Maggie, Ray, everyone.

I saw the notice today in the online Hampshire Gazette. I remember all of you fondly, not least your mother, from my childhood, our times together in Chataqua, school, and so on.
Please accept my condolences. I have sent the article to my Dad (in Europe right now) and my brothers, so you may be hearing from then too.
I hope that all of you and your families are well, and, once again, my condolences.

Regards to all,
Matt Chametzky

Rest in peace with your beloved husband, Stan.

I'm so sorry to hear of Mrs. Koehler's passing. She was my English teacher at ARMS and I will always remember her kindness and encouragement. My condolences to her friends and family.
