We still remember your interesting stories and your friendly demeanor. We enjoyed staying at your Bed and Breakfast.

We surely do remember Gene Lowry, from our stays at the B and B. He was full of stories of Lumbee history, and was a charming and lovely person who helped a lot of people in the community. He is still missed. Lynn and Josie Elwell, Durham, NC

We want to offer our condolences to Gene's family and friends. We enjoyed talking with him the 3 times we stayed at the Bed and Breakfast. He will surely be missed in the community.

Gene had a way of touching my heart in a special emotional way. When he spoke to me about his beloved family or any subject he was passionate about, he could be magically mesmerizing.
His vibrant personality made it a pleasure to be in my grandfather's home once again. It gave him so much joy to share the history of the Lowry family and of the D.F. Lowry House.
