I love his songs/music and his voice is awesome. Listening to his music right now, thought to write you and offer you hugs and prayers for this life without him on earth. Blessings to your whole family. Walk With a Winner , 100 pounds of Clay, two of my favs but I love them all.

I was a young teenager in the early 60sand can vividly remember all the great hits of Gene's. What a powerful voice and songs with super lyrics. I didn't realize that he had passed until I recently started playing his songs on utube. God bless you Gene. You made our teenage years unforgettable.

Your song has always been one of my favorites, and brings memories of my youth and tears to my eyes

I remember Gene McDaniel's music, still listen to it. I am most grateful to have known his parents Bishop Eugene McDaniel's and wife. I was a small child, my brother and I when Bishop would pick us up each Sunday and take us to church in a pink Cadillac. I cherish those memories. He is truly missed, music and family. Gene McDaniels passing was a great shock to me and a terrible loss to us folks who really Admire and take pleasure in a God given voice and talent such as Gene's. I still sit down at my computer nightly and find his songs on You Tube and can't get over just how magnificent and wonderfully that voice/lyrics/music sound even today. I followed him since I was a teen, the Army, marriage and still, to this day take great pleasure in listening to Gene. Damn, what a loss! May he rest in peace...
