Not sure what to say?

Gene was truly one of the most sincere, generous and compassionate men I have ever known. One could see straight into his soul through those amazing glowing eyes. I admire his strength, drive, and enthusiasm. His deep love and devotion to Oak Cliff, and its people, was always evident in his words and actions. I often introduced him as “ The Oak Cliff Royalty”... a title well deserved and earned!

My heart is heavy for now, but his warm comforting smile, unique sense of humor and...

I did not know Gene personally, but having grown up two doors away, I did know his parents, his mom specifically, helping her some with house and yard work as a youngster. He had a fine set of parents and I am sure he is rejoicing in seeing them again. May the Lord bless and comfort y'all at this time. Paula Turner

I first met Gene when I started my business on Davis back in the 80's, he was a great supporter of revitalization of Davis even then. He was so sweet and fun to be around. So sorry for the loss to family and our community.

There are fond memories of Gene and other Oak Cliff friends as we grew up there. May our Lord comfort the family as they grieve Gene's passing.

Sincere sympathy to the Family on Gene's passing.

Gene was an avid Oak Cliff Supporter and long active in the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce. He left a great legacy and will be missed!

May God Bless Gene and the Family.

I have known Gene for many years , sold him a mountain of new steel products .
Gene was a great customer and will be greatly missed by all at Dimco Steel.

Our Christian sympathy and love is extended to the family.
