To the entire Mitcham Family,

It is with great sadness and fond memories that I send you my sympathy and love. As you all know, I loved Gene and all of the Mitcham clan. So many memories, so many wonderful milestones shared together and such a great family. I am proud to have "Mean Gene the Waterdog King" as the grandfather of my three daughters and always will cherish the role I played as "Lunkhead". In this time of sadness, please remember the good times and know there are many of us...

Dear Mary Ann and Family;

Though I've known of Gene's failing health for some time, it was still a saddening shock to read of his passing. He was a good friend and we shared a lot of fine and fun experiences together both on an individual basis and through the posse and Ducks Unlimited. Fishing trips to Mexico added to the rest of the enjoyable events like our extended afternoon lunchs at Riazzi's.

Gene's family meant everything to him which is about as admirable a statement...
