Not sure what to say?

So sorry to hear of your loss. Please know I am thinking of you at this time.

Mae B. Fretwell

I am so sorry to hear of her passing. I got the honor to meet her the day President Obama was elected when we stayed at her house on our way to Haiti. She was a great lady. She will be missed.

To the Morse and Topple family,
We remember fondly our time spent with Gene and Chet. They were such special people to the Ku/Hsu family. We hope to see you on walks through the lovely gardens.

Our parents,Nelson and Pat Ku, loved and admired Chet and Gene so much. We are blessed to have known them. Our family sends our love and prayers to you.

Dr. Morse,

I did not have the honor of meeting Mrs Gene Morse. People say: "the fruits don't fall far from the tree". Having the son she had, I am sure she was a woman of great values, compassionate, caring and humanitarian like you.

The thoughts and prayes of staff and volunteers of the Anderson Free Clinic are with you... sharing your sorrow .

Although I never met Mr. or Mrs. Morse, her daughter Genia and family showed us great hospitality when we moved to Decatur. I've enjoyed visiting the Woodlands, and have continued to be so grateful to the Morse family for this precious gift of beautiful land.

What a sweet woman! I was blessed to know both her and her husband years ago when I would housesit/dog sit for them while they went on some of their extensive travels. They were always so gracious, warm and welcoming to me. How blessed we all were to have known her!

I was blessed to be one of many at the Old County Court House when the Morse family dedicated and gave to the City of Decatur their land for public use and preservation. As powerful as Gene and Chet Morse's gift was, so to is the support of their children and grandchildren. How many families today would willingly allow so much "value" to be given away AND be happy about it? On this day -- and every day that I pass Woodlands -- I honor the entire Morse Family for your grace and generosity. ...

"Grammy" would brighten any room with her presence. What a dear, dear woman. Love to her entire family.
