Judy and I are so sorry we did not learn of Gene's passing until today and we reach out to say not only how sorry were are but also what a joy it was to know and work with Gene over so many years. We had a special relationship few would be able to understand. During my many years as president of the University of Illinois much of my time was spent in Chicago and Gene was my constant companion providing conversation and companionship along with security and...

I worked with Gene at the UIC working events and so many good times during and after the productions including wrestling, concerts you name it. Gene was a treasure and an excellent police officer. May he rest in peace.
