"Mean" Gene Okerlund (1942 – 2019) was the star announcer for professional wrestling for many years. He came to fame as the face of the WWE, moving later to the rival WCW, returning to the WWE for the remainder of his career. He died at the age of 76. Saw "MEAN GENE" in the late 90's in Providence and Boston, interviewing HULSTER, MACHO MAN, GOLDBERG and RODDY PIPER plus many more. What a thrill it was back then to actually see "The Greatest" interviewer in action ! Peace to all of his family and friends. oooh yeah !!
