Not sure what to say?

I just heard this news yesterday at the SENIOR LUNCHEON at the church BVBC. I´m so sad to hear the news of Gene´s passing. Long before my attendance at the BRANDYWINE VALLEY CHURCH I knew the family when they were neighbors at PENNELL PLACE IN ROSETREE. I knew of them when they owned the CHICFILET AT GRANITE RUN MALL of which I was a devoted patron. The kids attended PENNCREST where my kids went to school. Then my late wife, Betty, introduced me to BRANDYWINE VALLEY CHURCH and there they...

My prayers and heartfelt condolences go out to Gene´s wife and family. My family and I knew Gene and his wife through Chick-fil-A from way back when they were in Granite Run mall. My sister, Peggy was one of the sampler workers. We would always chat whenever we went there or after they moved to Springfield. Gene was always so friendly ! Gene was an amazing man as well as a solid Christian. I had the pleasure of spreading the gospel with him on several occasions overseas. From the first minute I met Gene I had an immediate affinity for him. Gene´s love for people was the foundation of who he was. This legend and giant of a man will be sorely missed.

Dear Ontjes family, iam so sorry for your loss Gene was the best! He was always so kind to everyone. Here is a picture of him at my first employee appreciation party at Ridley store. He loved his employees and we will all miss him.

Dear Regina and Family, please accept my heartfelt condolences. I am so sorry. Gene was a wonderful person. He will truly be missed. Sending love and prayers. Sincerely, Debbie Noce
