Not sure what to say?

I am proud to say Gene was a loyal friend and trusted colleague for over 40 years. Loyal is probably the word that would describe him best. Prayers for Shirley and loved ones.

Thinking of Gene only makes me smile. After his dad passed when Gene was young, he and his brother came to work on my dad´s farm. I don´t know who smiled and joked more Gene or my dad - I know they really enjoyed each others company. He really had such a Christian positive and helpful spirit.... Eileen (Spriensma) DeJonge

Gene was a big man with a huge heart. Admired by his patients, respected by his colleagues, loved by his family and friends. Gene faced the end with quiet faith, strength and dignity. This man of great character will be sorely missed. My deepest sympathies.

My deepest sympathies and God´s blessings. Gene was a throw-back placing patients and care above a dollar. A blessing to his patients and the profession, he is missed.

I knew Dr. Oosterhouse as GeneO. We played basketball together in high school and I have great memories of him. I had a chance to catch up with Gene 2 days before he passed. i called hoping I could say something to uplift him. Instead I came away blessed by his words to me. He was easy to talk with, sweet and gracious. My condolences to Shirley and the rest of the family

We were patients of Dr. O he took good care of us. Our sympathies to you and your families.
