Those of us who knew Gene when he attended Auburn Junior High and part of high school loved him. We missed him when he moved to Burlington and especially when he played football against us. Condolences to the family from his Auburn buddies,

Lottie and Family...
Frayne and I were saddened to hear just today of Gene's passing . Please know how very sorry we are as we know he will be extremely missed. . He definitely was one of the kindest and most generous of men and was loved by so many (especially at Araby Acres). Hold on to your memories and let them guide you during this time of sadness.

Dear Lottie. I had so much fun with you and Gene in the fire dept, camping, fishing, hunting, and even a party now and then. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to stop and visit last October. Know that Gene will be missed all the way to Florida.

Lottie, my name is Ed Maynard and I played football with Gene. I moved to Arlington and haven't seen Gene very often. He was really a good athlete and I have always enjoyed being around him. Your family will be in our prayers.
