Gene was my geography Teacher at Reese School, where I believe he took an interest in me because I was a Tackle on the Grade School Team. He had me practice with his JV team at the High School, as well as had me practice with the Walt Miller's wrestling team. I was a good Football Player, but a poor Wrestler. I do not remember winning any of my individual wrestling matches, but I saved many overall team matches by not getting "pinned" which would have given our opponent 5 points instead of...
