Not sure what to say?

Jan, I am so sad to learn about Gene's passing. My friend, Sherry, at CT Food Bank had just recently told me he was ill and I wanted to connect with him but didn't. I'm sorry. He was such a pleasure to work with during my days at the Food Bank and I always enjoyed my visits with him at the annual pantry 'inspections'. Praying that God's peace comforts you in the days ahead.

Words will never express the heartfelt sorrow I feel for you all. You have been in my thoughts everyday since Gene went into the hospital. The loss of a spouse, a dad, a grandfather, a friend is never easy. I feel lucky that I was able to know him, laugh with him, share stories, swap a glance or look that sometimes only the 2 of us understood the humor in. He will be missed. But, know that I am here to assist with anything I can in the days, months and years to come.

May the wealth of good memories sustain you all in this sad time
