I first met Gene in Graduate School at The Ohio State University. We became immediate friends and colleagues that lasted over the miles and decades until his passing. Gene was a special man that I will never forgot. He was my mentor and a second father. I met Gene as a member of Kiwanis. Gene was a great teacher and who taught me so much about Kiwanis and life. He was always there helping me and others to succeed. I remember the funny programs he provided to Kiwanis clubs. They were so funny.
