Not sure what to say?

Its hard to believe that its been eight years since Genes passing, but I remember him fondly. Im sure hes enjoying his view from heaven looking down upon us all and smiling.

Dear Virginia and Family,
I am sorry to learn of Gene's passing. I so enjoyed getting to spend time with your family when I brought Dad and Mom out to visit you some time ago. Gene was such a gentleman. I know you will miss him terribly.
Love To All,
Darla Youngblood

Dear Virginia & Sarah:
Both my wife Betty and I extend our condolences to both of you at the recent passing of Gene. We knew Mr. Rogers from our years as students at North High School. We both enjoyed careers in the DMPS as teachers, vice principals, and principal. I was at ALHS with Gene when I was a VP there. Both Mr. Bly and Mr. McCaw. former NHS teachers, were also there with us at the same time. Gene always took an interest in all of his students and it was such a pleasure to have...

Yes, I remember Mr. Rogers from Tech High. He was a great teacher. Our class reunion is this coming weekend, and I will pass on that we have lost another wonderful teacher.

Mr. Rogers was an inspiration to me while I learned as it was called then 'Data Processing' at Tech High School. His patience and caring allowed me a 40 year career in the field.

I remember Gene during my term of service at Lincoln High School. He taught in an adjacent room on the 2nd floor. He and Bert were instrumental in helping me during my stablng at Lincoln. I appreciated his friendship and professionalism.

I enjoyed Gene's friendly personality and his knowledge of many subject areas. I met Gene while he was a teacher at Lincoln. I taught mathematics at Lincoln for 31 years and he was versed in mathematics and we discussed the subject occasionally. I will remember him as a gentleman and a friend. My sympathy to the family and remember all of the wonderful times you were able to share with him.
