Not sure what to say?

He taught me to drive. Not just following all the laws, but actually drive. He saw an elk in logan canyon and told me to pull off and "flip a Uey! I saw an elk!" I did. It taught me a critical lesson about driving in Real Life. He taught me to pay attention to surroundings in that moment more than anything else ever has.

I adored him, he was fun and he made me laugh and I know he made me a better driver. LOL in spite of all my failed attempts, (except for snow, I aced that) with the stupid simulator. Mostly though I loved him for Angie, I adored her, she was my friend... I can see them together now and that makes me smile. Miss them both.

So sad to read of Mr. Roskelly's passing.
What a good kind man with such a big heart.
Sending lots of love and prayers to his children and grandchildren. He will be very missed and was so loved by so many!
Lots of love to his family now and always! May your memories always burn bright!

Gene you are with dear sweet Peggy now and your daughter Angie, What a wonderful reunion. I have known Peggy all my life and I know how much you have missed her, May peace be with your family left here to continue their journey. My heart goes out to them for their loss. Gene was a wonderful man that many saw him through Peggy's eyes. May God bless you all and keep you safe.

I was so shocked to learn of Gene's passing as I was just remembering something about him yesterday. I used to tease him about him being the one to teach me how to drive and how my first experience on the road was Logan Canyon during a snow storm. But even after all these years, he's remembered me and spoken as a friend of good times and memories. He was kind enough to loan Terilyn to my sister Barbara for a while to enjoy as an "adopted" friend and we sure enjoyed having her around. We...

Richard, Colette, Nate, Nicole, Shane and Terilynn,
I am so sorry to learn of your dad's passing. It is hard to lose your dad no matter what age you are. The hardest thing for me when I lost my dad, were all the times I would think, "I should call Dad and tell him..." and then remember that was not possible. But thoughts sent heaven-ward are wonderful blessings.
I remember going to Honeyman State Park as a little girl for a family trip with Grandma and Grandpa R, Grandma Buckland, your...

To Gene's family; I'm sorry for your loss. I find peace and happiness though knowing that Gene is with our Heavenly Father. Gene was a great man and I considered him to be a close friend and mentor. He taught me a lot of lessons about the value of hard work and many other life lessons. I always enjoyed the conversations we had about a variety of topics, ha he always had something to say. I am glad I had the privilege of knowing such a great man.

Fun times we students at South Cache Jr.High had with Mr. Roskelley. I remember one time clearly sitting out on the front steps of the school talking with him when I noticed he had 2 different cowboy boots on. His reply to the difference was "That is what happens when you get dressed in the dark." That has always been a fond memory for me. Tina Smith Davis

Always one of my favorite teachers and friends, Gene Roskelley was truly one of a kind. The world is a better place because of his contributions to the lives of so many! My condolences to his family and friends.
