Not sure what to say?

Had text/Facebook page Gene couple years ago. Asked him about Neal & Evelyn who would always sit at our table at the Spot 77. Gene was so gracious & was going to reach out to Neal. Few months later I was saddened to hear this talented man had passed. Loved Big Blue Diamond.

En España siempre sonará su música. ¡Olé! Grande. Mis condolencias

As a member of the Rebels on bass in the late '50's I am saddened to see this. Gene was a talented musician and was innovative with his music back then. My condolences to his family. Your Dad was truly a "Rock" star in the finest sense.

I first met Gene at The Wildest Cats, I was one of the organisers It was a pleasure to spend time with him and listen to his story's of Rock 'n' Roll / Rockabilly I also met Steven when we were at the Classic Car cruises that Gene loved We had the Bat mobile pick him up, one year He loved it In my eyes he was a Legend and a Star He loved his family dearly and I am about to record a Radio Show on Euro Radio and Gene will have a mention and I will be playing some of his music Love and...

Enjoyed dancing to his band at the Spot 77, Dallas Texas in the 1960s.

I am going through a look back into Rock history since Phil Spector passed in January of 2021. All aspects, even into guys like Bing Crosby, but definitely guys like Bill Haley, Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry into whatever it happening today. I discovered Mr. Summers in the 1990s. I have one very strong compilation of his work, which includes all of his hits up till the 1970s. It seems Gene was moving forward, always. My condolences to his family. The headmaster of The School of Rock and Roll...

You are an artist who was available and who took the time to respond to these "Fan" and in a personal way sometimes in a private message and with a lot of kindness and consideration and humility.
You and your many anecdotes will be missed.
I lost my brother on December 2020 at the age of 58 which was already a big blow, and even if we were "only" friends via Facebook, I am deeply touched by your departure.
You left for a probably more positive world.
My deepest condolences...

Gene, You will never be forgotten ❤
