Not sure what to say?

My remembrances of Gene go back almost 50 years. We meet in the late 60s, both suffering from the same incurable disease, car craziness. Having moved to California over 35 years ago, we lost touch, but I still have many found memories of good times together. He was truly a unique individual, big smile and big heart. Rest in peace big guy.

SUCH A WONDERFUL, POSITIVE, VIBRANT PERSON. VERY SAVVY ---NOT ONLY ABOUT CARS& STREET RODS---BUT ABOUT LIFE. A PEOPLE PERSON ALL THE WAY. PEACE TO YOU, GENE--MAKE BEAUTIFUL MUSIC UP THERE! YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MISSED & LOVED!

WE have lost a great person and a true motor head. It was always great walking with him at a car show, the man knew every car by year and model. He will be missed.

God bless you Gene! Faisal Ali

Miss you my gentle soul. I have many fond memories of hanging out at Hiser's filling station, hanging out on North St. at 2:00 a.m., cruising Central Ave. and drag racing on the Arterial in Albany, N. Y., getting a NEBA roast-beef sandwich or Mike's Giant Submarine, then stopping at the Viking Dairy Bar in East Greenbush for an Oarsman. Until we meet again, Peace. Cruise on my Brother....

"The Godfather"

Great friend and car mentor will be missed. Gene always sang a tune, "Beautiful people and Beautiful Day". Rest in peace".

Gene and I had many conversations about cars, and he was an expert on them. His enthusiasm was contagious. I hope to see you again. RIP my Brother.

I will miss you my dear friend...Soar with the angels.
