Gene Roy Vanek

Gene and I both worked for the Government in St Louis. I was his boss for 4 years and always thought of him as one the best employees and one of the funniest. He walked into my office one day and said, "can I run something by you"?. Sure, I said. He then ran by my desk and out the door. Can't beat that.

Gene and I worked together for 4 years in the U.S. Civil Service Commission in St. Louis. I was the Chief of Evaluations and Gene was the top performer in our group, and also the funniest. He was always game for anything that would bring a laugh to everyone. One day, while I was sitting at my desk, he came to the door and asked if he could run something by me. Gene and I were classes in Speech class and later taught together on year at Sacred Heart school in Granite City. Alwaysza fun person to be around and the best within can remember. My sincere condolences to his family Frizz
