One of a kind guy ! He coached in in the Sellwood Morland Little League, 1976 Minors team. VFW. I remember hitting a foul ball during practice and it landing with a crash in the middle of his blue Chevelle's hood. He was so animated in his reaction. Good Times . I only met Gene a few years ago when I began bowling on Mondays at Milwaukie Bowl but I will always remember his big smile and upbeat attitude. My sympathy to his family, he will be missed by all of us who knew him.

I had the privilege to bowl with Gene for several years in the Monday Seniors League at Milwaukie Bowl. He was a great bowler but typically male and was too serious. (smile) But was always ready to He was a really nice guy who was enjoyable to spend time with. May he rest in peace.

I worked in Purchasing at the Oregonian where I worked directly with Gene. He was helpful and a great co-worker. May his family find peace in the fond memories they can hold dear in this time of sorrow.

I will never forget Gene Workman as long as I live. Gene was a joy to see ocasionally at The Oregonian where I worked also. I worked in the pressroom, He at the Broadway building. Our paths didn't cross oven, but when they did, Gene always greeted me with a big grin. Our paths crossed when my son (now 35 years old) was playing little league baseball, and Gene was umpire of some of the games. He would always flash that same smile. I know Gene from umpiring and he was a great guy, always enjoyed his company.
