Send FlowersAug. 6, 1924 - Oct. 19, 2009 Geneva James passed away Monday at a local nursing home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Spry Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Fincher officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m....

Geneva was very kind, loving and gracious to me even though I was only distantly related. I am thankful my daughter and I were able to visit her a little over a year ago. I treasure the memories.

Grandma Geneva was very special to me. I am glad I had her in my life. She married my Grandpa James when I was 13 and though I didn't get to see her often enough (I live in Kansas), I loved visiting with her when I had the chance. I miss her already.
