PATTON, Geneva (Abbie) - Of Grand Blanc, age 78, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, November 3, 2015.
Funeral service will be held 3:30pm Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Mark W. Lasley officiating.
Burial in Lawrence Cove Cemetery in Eva, Alabama.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cystic Fibrosis.
Visitation 1-3pm and 5-8pm Friday at the funeral home.
Geneva was born in Barbourville, Kentucky on November 7, 1936. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Geneva enjoyed traveling in the winter to the warm Southern climate.
Surviving are husband of 63 years, Bob Patton;
son, Robert and wife Carolyn Patton of Decatur, Alabama;
daughter, Donna and husband John Summers of Flint;
son, David Patton of St. Paul Texas;
grandchildren, Crystal Patton of Columbus, Georgia, Todd Patton of Decatur, Alabama, Eric and wife Shari Summers of Archdale, N.C., Justin and wife Kristen Summers of Linden, Kristen and husband Roger Mills of Grand Blanc, Katie Patton, and Sam Patton of St. Paul, Texas;
great-grandchildren, Jordan and Justin Summers, Kyle Summers, Micah Mills, Madelyn Summers and Noelle Mills;
and brothers, Cotton Helton and Bobby Mills;
special sister and brother-in-law, Perry and Jean Smith of Eva Alabama;
and many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by son, Kenneth Patton, parents, Charlie Helton and Elizabeth Mills, brothers, Cecil Helton and Bill Helton.

Bob - I shall always treasure the time we spent just chatting at our last Eating Gang get together at the Cracker Barrel in Lakeland. I always loved talking (or listening) to Geneva. Our prayers go with you, Bob.

Our deepest sympathy and love to the family of Geneva. She was my mothers best friend in many ways. She was loved and admired by our family for her positive attitude, love and support for many years. God Blessing to the family, remember going to church with the family. She was a wonderful neighbor too. She even taught me ceramics what a talent and the time she spent with each one to make them feel special. Rest now until we meet again one day in heaven. I have such fond memories of Geneva & Bob with my Grandma Kay and Grandpa Gus growing up. Church, dinners and lots of laughs. Sending love up to them and prayers to Bob & family.

Sending prayers to all your family. Geneva was a very special lady to our family. I never remember a time that she was not there to support us in time of joy or sorrow. She will be missed until we meet her again and she can tell me about changing my diapers in the nursery when I was a baby!! LOL!
