Genevieve Johnson

Genevieve was a wonderful neighbor to us in Richland some forty-plus years ago. She was gentle, kind, hospitable, and went out of her way to make us feel at home. Bill and her children were wonderful as well, all doing their part to help entertain us in their home for dinner, which they did on a number of occasions. She and I also took a sewing class together. Our hearts go out to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who mourn her loss.

I wish I could have attended the funeral service. Gen had a way of making me feel like a friend, even though we only met over the past year. Her thoughtful compassion and warmth is a legacy that I have seen lived out in her children. I will hold dear the memories of singing together in groups and in her room at Clark. I pray for all who are missing her.

Genevieve was a wonderful friend to me in Kalamazoo. We did so many things together, UMW. sewing, the symphony, with Dave and Bill and much more. I am sorry to hear of her death, but know she has a great reward in heaven.

My long time friendship with your family and esp the special connection with your wonderful mom (our shared birthday's) will always be remembered
I'm so sorry to miss the celebration of her life (I'll be out of town), but I will surely be there, with all of you, is spirit. My love to all.

Genevieve was a solid member of the church and not only contributed personally but provided four wonderful children who have and continue to serve God and the community faithfully. Many are indebted to her. The family has our prayers for peace and comfort.
