Dear Tarone family,
I am sorry to hear about your loss. G & I were close friends from my freshman year at Temple. Although we fell out of touch over the years, when relating stories of my time at Temple always included stories of Genarro. I'm happy to have known him and my life was richer to have had him in my life, even for the short time I knew him.

Gennaro was one of the kindest, gentlest people I met in college. I had the pleasure of sharing some great experiences with him at Temple. He was always quick with a smile and a helping hand, and ready to stand up for those who were hesitant to speak. I will treasure my memories of him.

Gennaro taught me a lot of small lessons that amounted to a big outcome. I will never forget his attiude and outlook, and I consider myself fortunate to have known him. I am sad to hear this news, it weighs heavy on my heart. My prayers and sympathies go out to my brothers in KDR and Gennaro's family, who recall all of the good he did for us. May we honor his memory by abiding to the lessons he has taught us.

This story shall the good man teach his son;
...From this day to the ending of the world,
we in it shall be remember'd;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in Philadelphia now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with...

My sincere condolences for Gennaro's family. i was a fraternity brother, friend and house mate. Gennaro was so kind and had such a big heart filled with love and passion. He always meant well by all walks of life, including animals and of course xiggy, Many a nights were spent debating about any odd event or belief with Gennaro. I have very fond memories of our time together on diamond street, i remember camping in the north Jersey pine forest, playing flag football, hanging with the...

When reflecting back on memories of Gennaro throughout our college years, I do it with a smile.
He had an unbelievable passion in many things in his life ie. history, music, politics, the college experience, personal relationships, and noone can forget his love of dogs - particularly Xiggy! His keen intellect about history, politics, and music was inspiring. Not just because of the content of the matter but because of the passion that Gennaro portrayed in delivering his...

When I think about Gennaro, the first thing that I remember is his warm smile. It was ear to ear, leaning at bit to the goofy side, yet it was genuine. He leaned into that smile, jutting out his chin, and you just knew that he put his whole heart into that smile.
Gennaro had a keen understanding of the arc of history and my impression was that he took seriously the fact that many of us lived in the shadow of that arc. While he could rattle off the names and dates of important...
