Hermann Funeral Home - Stockton Obituary

Geoffrey Cox, age 63, of Mesa, AZ, formerly of Stockton, IL passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024. He was born August 30, 1960 to the late Ronald and Duane (Wagner) Cox. 


Geoff was a 1978 graduate of Freeport High School. He owned and operated Coxy’s Liquor in Stockton. He enjoyed cars, especially drag racing, fishing, and collecting antiques and comics. Most of all, he loved his family. 


He is survived by his son, Wesley (Liz Fye) Cox; his daughter, Abigail (Josh Cunniff) Lloyd; his brother, Bradley (Dale) Cox; his niece, Kirsten Cox; and his nephews, Dillon Cox and Logan Cox. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and uncle, Fred Wagner.


A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

I love going into his store he would always make you laugh and smile

I want to offer my sincerest condolences to Geoffrey's friends and family. I was in his graduating class and knew him as a great person. I know he was welcomed with open arms by our Lord & Savior. We shall meet again, old friend.

Geoff and I worked together at a Porsche dealership in Florida in the late 80's. He had a great sense of humor never a dull moment. RIP my friend!

Geoffrey was a great friend and school mate, he fought so hard I applaud him and am so sad the heart didn’t work out for him. RIP Geoff! Deepest condolences to his family and friends
