Geoffrey Joseph Keating

I knew Mr. Keating when I was a little girl. He worked as a mechanic with my dad. He would often come to our house to visit. He and my dad, Leroy Tolleson, were the best of friends in those days. I was fortunate to have Geoff as a true friend. I met him while trying to take care of his insurance needs but every time I ran into him at the golf course or church there was that smile that kept him going and got me going to. It was a pleasure and a honor to call him a true friend.

We have lost a dear and faithful servant at Saint Patrick Cathedral. Mr. Keating always had a favorite place to sit; how I will miss seeing him there at Mass. At the risk of sounding dramatic, he truly radiated a kind of holiness, joy, and serenity that only our Lord can provide. I will always be thankful that I met this gentle and humble Christian man.
