I had the good fortune to recruit Geoff from Grand Valley State University to the benefit of Western Michigan University and its Division of Continuing Education. He was the best continuing education professional I ever knew. He headed up our growing off-campus credit programs throughout west Michigan, including Lansing, with great skill.

It was my great pleasure to be Geoff's colleague in the Continuing Education Department at Western Michigan University, where I served as assistant to the Dean and manager of Administrative Services for 14 years, coinciding with Geoff's tenure there. Through his extensive wisdom and infinite patience, Geoff nurtured my career in lifelong learning. Though he knew I wasn't as smart as I thought, he never gave up trying to get me there.
